Hey! I got some good news and some regular-ass news.
Table of Contents
I say that I’m a writer, musician, and podcaster—in that order.
I have a few creative outlets. I have the podcast. I make music for said podcast, as well as occasionally getting jobs making music for other podcasts. And I also write. Sometimes here, duh, and sometimes for other people’s websites. But the nearest and dearest thing to me is my fiction.

And because I have a deadline of getting this next book out by mid-July, I’m putting the podcast on the back burner. I know, I know. What about the dozens of faithful listeners? Haha. Don’t worry. I’ll be back. I love doing the podcast and I’d be a little lost if I completely gave it up. But, for the sake of getting my novel done (and I’m so close) and done well, I’m going to focus solely on getting it done right.
In the meantime, I’ll still record a few episodes. I’ve got some writers, some pro sports entertainment folk, a political activist, and more lined up to interview. I’ll record a few interviews/conversation while I’m on hiatus to be released when I’m back. And you can listen to old episodes here, see who all has been a guest here, or catch the most recent ones below:
Ep.92 | Cocoon ArtSpace – The Collaborative "Growth" Exhibit – A Podcast for Creative People
- Ep.92 | Cocoon ArtSpace – The Collaborative "Growth" Exhibit

- Ep.84 | Tylor Paige — author of the whorror novel Slash Or Pass
- Ep.83 | Jody J. Sperling on Becoming a Household Name
How long is the hiatus?

The rest of May, for sure. At least some, if not all, of June. So let’s call it a month and a half.
During that time I’d also like to think of ways to retool the podcast a little bit. I’m not sure what all the entails, but I’m down for suggestions. If you don’t already follow me on social media, what the in the f—k is wrong with you?!?
I’m sorry, baby. I didn’t mean that.
Hit me up on social media. I’m @tallonwrites on all of them. DM/PM me with any suggestions. For example “Make the show shorter” “do video” “only talk to writers” “do a segment where you watch youtube videos” “change the format to something like ___________” or whatever you think might improve the overall listening experience.
Thanks.
Before I go—who wants to read most of my next book early?
I’m sending out PDFs this week to anyone who wants to read approximately the first 60k words. Right up to the point where it gets the most excited. If you want to read what I have so far and give me your impressions on its strengths and weaknesses, I will give you a free ebook copy when it comes out in July!!!!

See ya! And please, for my birthday (which is days away) do me a favor and let me know what you think about the podcast. You can hit me up on social media (@tallonwrites on all of them) or by email.
Thanks everyone!
Here’s an Instagram post for you to watch (and learn (if you play)) one of my guitar solos:
Bye, sillypants!
