I sold some books this last weekend. It was a ton of fun.

Christopher Tallon Almost Sold of Books out at GalaxyCon Richmond!
I had a great time in Richmond, VA. The city was pretty cool, lots of public art and good coffee. Can’t go wrong with those.
Here’s some of the great art I experienced:

And here’s some shots from the GalaxyCon. From top to bottom, left to right:
- Me and Cory, the panel host.
- Me and Ben Kamphuis, a fellow Michigan author.
- The Popup Bookshoppe table, where I (and several other authors) sold books.
- FNAF cosplay that was too good not to take a picture of.
- Me with CR Rice, author and founder of the Popup Bookshoppe.
- Me with a tiny duck a random person gave me.

How It Went Down
I left Grand Rapids, MI, at 8pm with fellow author Rich Hosek, the night before the event. We drove 12 hours straight through the night alternating drivers. When we got to the Greater Richmond Convention Center, our ultimate destination, we had a little over an hour before the Con got going.
I struggled to keep my energy up and crashed hard at the hotel that night.

Like…really hard. My roomie was in a meeting on his computer until 10pm, so I put on headphones, put my computer on my chest, laid down, and started a youtube video. But I fell asleep, computer on chest and headphones over my ears, and slept that way 9 hours, haha.
I sold books, did two panels (Cocktails and Creatives, and Real Life in Fiction), and when it was all said and done, we packed up at 6pm on the last day and drove straight through to Michigan. I got home around 7am, just in time to drop my kid off at school.
I made it through most of the day okay, but fell asleep early that night. Bro…I haven’t been that tired in awhile. But I slept good. Even though my wallet was in my pocket the whole time and I still had my watch on. Ha.
What’s Next for Tallon?
I hope to see you at one or more of these events. Please reach out if I’m coming your way. Maybe I won’t see you at the event itself, but I’ll still sign a book for you. Ya know, because you rock. Like…hard.

Get them HERE if you want the author to make money instead of the guy who owns that huge online store…
