A Good Thing: Style & Music at GRAMMOTONES!

I recently interviewed Dante Cope the founder/owner/operator of Grammotones, and we talked all about how this amazing space came to be, amongst other things.

Here’s a description of the space from the bio section of the official Grammotones website:

Grammotones Music is a creative retail collective started by award winning musician Dante Cope. Grammotones is at its core an apparel retail store, specializing in limited runs of merchandise from bands who are touring in the Grand Rapids area. The shop also sells upcycled clothing and designs from regional clothing designers. Grammotones is located near six music venues and one record store in downtown Grand Rapids. To drive traffic to the retail space, Grammotones also serves as a venue for community events and a production studio for photography, videography, and podcasting.

I bought a brown Fossil track jacket from there. I’m actually wearing it right now. My wife got a handmade knit top.

Listen to Ep.105 of Creative Ops for the whoooooole story on this awesome place.
