Buy my books at www.christophertallon.com
Books were sold
I sold books at the Kickoff to Summer Celebration in Kentwood, Michigan, last weekend.

Sales were decent, I got a few new email list subscribers, and I had several memorable interactions. The highlight for me was meeting a teenager who approached my booth to tell me, “I read one of your books for school and wrote a paper on it.”
Blew my mind.
He said he got a passing grade and liked the book. Win win.
Then there was the weird one.
Egos were checked
A woman walked by, saw my booth, stopped, and–after a moment–approached me. She acknowledged my the top right corner of my sign

and said, “I’ve never heard of you. But you were on NPR, so…” before looking at my books for a few seconds and walking away. It was weird. Right? Like…what’s the point of walking up to someone at a community festival just to tell them they aren’t famous? Here’s the funny part. You know who it was who said that to me?
Me neither.
