Ain’t No Party Like a Book Release Party!
I’m trying to think of a way to say “I’m excited to announce…” that doesn’t sound generic. I actually am excited to announce something though. Something of a book-release-party nature, if you hadn’t already picked up on it. 
February 8th, which is a Saturday, I’ll be downtown at Grammotones celebrating the release of Sleepwalker Angel. It’s my new novel about a 27 year old EMT named Natalie, who can astral project. She teams up with her dead grandmother, the grim reaper, and a suspended police officer to help her infiltrate a cult in rural Michigan. Together they come up with a plan to extract Natalie’s cousin from the cult, but the cult leader has other ideas.
It All Fell into Place
I wanted to do something with the book release that was kind of big and fun. I met up with rapper Sonny Ski at HAS HEART coffee shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to help him promote his run for Best Artist and Album of the Year for the WYCE Jammie Awards. VOTE HERE TO HELP THE MAN OUT. After the podcast, I said I wanted to do something at Grammotones. He asked if I needed music, I said yes. I headed over to Grammotones, pitched the idea, and the owner, Dante Cope, and he was down. It all came together in about 20 minutes from concept to let’s-do-this. I love creative people.
